"Hooligan Mod" on your WR/X/R

Did anyone made a attempt to do (what DRZ400 board members call) "Hooligan Mod"? Cast wheels from a lighter sport bike mounted to a R or X bike? I would like to see/hear about it it might save me some time and money, as i am in process of doing it....I already got a set of dirt wheels for my girl but i have to have a cool backup for SM...my OEM SM wheels will be up for grabs very soon
Thanks
