Dogfish, but im not sure now

<o After many years of dogfish, I took one home lastnight for the first time, I skinned it on the beach, so its already to go.

i was fishing with a friend yesterday around woodstown area, we both caught two dogfish but my friends was at least 3-4 lbs the dogfish was alot lighter skin than the ones we usually catch so im wondering would it be usuall to catch dogfish there and was
