Now, at idle (like at a stoplight) the car makes a weird tranny rattle...

i just picked up mi first sr20 redtop and it runs great crusin and full throttle but the thing that i dont get is wen im just crusing and i come to a stop light mi car rev up to 2000 and sometimes just
being its cold out around hear 15-30 degrees. what would be a normal warnup idle speed when you first start up the car? mine has been 1200-1350 rpm for like five min. till i hit the gas then it goes dwon to nromal.

This has been driving me nuts for a while, I am almost out of ideas. I have a 95 Caprice wagon with 80k on the engine (so I am told when I bought it). At idle there is a noticable roughness to the engine, you can feel it in the steering wheel at times too
